PROFESSIONS WE SERVE

Taxes shaped by how you earn, not by a generic checklist.

A surgeon, a law-firm partner, a plumber with three trucks and a landlord with eleven doors do not have the same tax year. SBZ Tax specializes in the professions below, from the first return to the year you sell the business.

Who we specialize in

Physicians and dentists

W-2 hospital income plus a practice, 1099 locums, or both. S-corp salary that holds up, retirement plans that actually fit a practice, and the 199A question answered for your specialty.

Attorneys and law-firm partners

K-1 partner income, bonuses that land in December, estimated taxes that never match, and the choice between staying an associate and opening your own firm.

White-collar business owners

Agencies, consultancies, medical and legal practices, tech and finance firms. S-corp reasonable salary, owner retirement plans, multi-entity structures and clean monthly books for the lender or the buyer.

Blue-collar business owners

Contractors, plumbers, electricians, HVAC, landscapers, truckers and owner-operators, restaurant and salon owners. Equipment and vehicle deductions, cash-heavy bookkeeping done properly, worker classification, and the estimated taxes that keep the IRS quiet.

First responders, nurses and shift workers

Overtime, per diem, union dues, second jobs and side businesses. Straightforward returns that catch what most preparers miss, and a plan for the year the side business gets serious.

Freelancers, creators and 1099 professionals

Quarterly estimates you will actually pay, the home office and equipment rules applied correctly, and the point at which an S-corp starts saving you money.

Common questions

Do I need to be in Los Angeles or the Antelope Valley?

No. Most profession-specific work is done remotely through the secure portal, with the Palmdale office and Los Angeles meetings available by appointment.

My income is a mix of W-2, 1099 and K-1. Is that a problem?

That is the normal case for the professions on this page. Mixed income is exactly where planning matters, and it is where we start.

Can you take over from my current preparer mid-year?

Yes. We review the last two returns, tell you plainly what we would have done differently, and pick up from there.

What about high-net-worth or public-figure situations?

Those are handled on our Private Client page, where discretion comes first: NDA on request, one principal, no public case studies.
